Signs

Today I finally had about an hour or so to myself and so I went for a quick ride. I rode up El Toro road to Trabuco Caynon rd. Trabuco is a pretty cool road, despite being too short. But I didn't have a lot time, so it would do. Anyways there is a part on the road where both sides are thick with trees and they grow over the road creating a tree tunnel. It's pretty cool to ride thru.

Now I'm not sure if we are just getting too smart for our own good or the guy that makes signs gets paid by the letter. There is a sign there that says "Impaired Vertical Clearance". I guess a sign that says "Low Branches" would be just too easy for people to understand. Now I'm all for literacy and education. But when you can't call something what it is, either because it is no longer Politically Correct or you are deathly afraid of hurting someones feelings. In this case, the hyper sensitive trees. What is America coming to? (Don't answer that, Denny)

So instead, I say lets just stick with the picture signs. If done right, I think they can be informational as well as funny. Here is a sign that I propose for those low hanging sensitive trees.

So when Stiles is surfing on top of the Teen Wolfmobile, he will know that he should watch out for the branches.

The Worlds Newest Ducatisi!!

Say hello to Cameron Thomas Lovin, born January 16th at 1:06pm. He weighed 6 lbs 13 oz and 18" long. He was a month early but I think it was he wanted to hurry up and start growing so he could ride!! In the future look for Cameron, Ethan and I at the dunes of Glamis, scubadiving around the world, track days, deke-ing the pads off of goalies at the local rinks, paddling out in Newport Beach, freediving in anything deeper than a pool, shooting Denny in the head with paintball guns and riding every twistie we can find. Basically worrying their Mother to death.

IMS

Last month Mike, Randy, Ethan and I went to the International Motorcycle Show at the Long Beach Arena. It was all of our 1st time at the show and it was pretty cool.

All the major companies were there, but we had to head to the Ducati section as soon as we could.

A lot of the new bikes and new models were all really cool to see but the real show stopper and voted most beautiful bike of the show was the 1098. The Tri-Color was for display only but they did have a base model on the floor for everyone to sit on. Ethan got to sit on it 1st. How many 3 year olds have sat on a 1098? Not that many, I try to be a cool Dad.

The Desmosedici RR was also there. If you ever wondered what a $65,000 sport bike would look like, wonder no more.

After Ducati we hit all the other bikes. Ethan sat on just about everything he could. Although since green is his favorite color, naturally he was really fond of the Kawi's.

It was pretty fun and definetly worth checking out next year if you are into bikes. They were offering Demo rides on a lot of bikes in the parking lot but we never made it out there, there is always next year.
